Making new friends isn’t always easy. Honestly, life gets busy, priorities shift, and social time tends to get squeezed out. But shared experiences (especially when Vietnamese food is involved) brings people together. Vietnam is a convivial culture at heart.
The Vietcentric Social Club isn’t just a cooking class—it’s a space to connect, cook, and create something delicious together, so spend your time in ways that bring you joy.
The studio is yours to enjoy for the full 3 hours, so take your time to cook, laugh, and connect with others—just no food fights. For music, can we trust you with the aux cable for music too?
All ingredients, equipment, aprons, towels, and printed recipe is provided (just bring your appetite).
What to expect?
Student mode – The host will demo how to make Bánh Xèo, Vietnam’s beloved crispy and savory crepe – for you to taste too! You can take notes but also receive a printed recipe to guide you.
Cook together –After the demo, you’ll roll up your sleeves and carry out the steps in pairs or groups, with plenty of hands-on experience! (Don’t worry – this does not mean we will leave you!)
Fresh, vibrant flavors – Fill your pancakes with pork belly, prawns, or king oyster mushrooms, wrap them in leafy greens and fresh herbs, and dip them into a tangy, sweet fish sauce or a vegan alternative.
Plating and presentation – Prepare herb and salad plates and mix your own Vietnamese dipping sauce to complement the dish.
Shared Meal – In true Vietnamese fashion, you’ll eat together, sharing your dishes with new friends and enjoying the food in a relaxed, communal setting. All compliments to the chefs!
You keep on learning – While eating, learn how to turn your Bánh Xèo into fresh summer rolls, wrapping the crispy pancake with herbs and dipping it into sauce for a whole new way to enjoy it.
Captured moments – A cinematic FX30 camera will record the experience, edited by our team, so you’ll leave with a lovely video. For those who are camera shy, just let us know!
By the end, you won’t just have learned a recipe—you’ll have feasted over a Banh Xeo platter, have a few laughs, and maybe even made a new friend.
Come hungry. Leave connected.
